Applications installed on the camera can be stopped or started for troubleshooting, maintenance or in case of it is not necessary for it to run at a specific moment.
Start/stop procedure can be initiated either on the Device Management Portal (DMP) or the camera itself.
Starting/Stopping the application on the Device Management Portal
Prerequisite is that the camera with the application you wish to start/stop has access to the Internet, that it is claimed on the DMP and that you have an account with appropriate permissions on the DMP.
Steps to Start/Stop application on the camera are:
- Access the Device Management Portal and select the camera
- Go to camera's application section
- select the application you wish to start/stop
- click on the appropriate command button
Starting/Stopping the application on the camera
Prerequisite for this operation is having access to the camera's web frontend and the credentials for accessing the camera.
Steps to start/stop the application on the camera are as follows:
- access the camera through your browser and log in
- go to Applications → Overview page
- select the application you wish to start/stop
- click on the start/stop toggle button
